A new board was elected and Mr. Matevž Zbašnik from Banka Slovenije, handed over presidency to Mr. Matjaž Stritih, SID banka d.d.
The main Assembly started on Friday evening with the annual Reports from the Presidency, Supervisory Board Report and Court of Honour Report. The Saturday morning research programme was opened by the recognized, charismatic analyst and regular attendee of ACI events, Mr. Richard McGuire from Rabobank International with an excellent presentation about the 'Influence of populism on the global financial markets'. Then we were honoured to hear a presentation from Mr. Tobias Helmersson of the European Central Bank about the new FX Global Code of Conduct (FX Global Code), which came into force on May 25, 2017. Additionally Mrs. Alenka Gedrih from the Banka Slovenije gave information about the course of implementation of the code in Banka Slovenije and the expectations regarding compliance to the code by its counterparties. The programme was moderated by Klara Koren the Vice-president of ACI Slovenia.
After the official programme, participants took a panoramic bus to Planica, where they visited the new Planica Nordic Center. Most of them went onto the flying hill and the bravest ones went down by zipline! After an adrenaline experience, participants enjoyed the BBQ dinner on the terrace of the Čaplja restaurant under the Bloudek giant hill, with an idyllic view of the sunset over the breath-taking mountains range. The enthusiasm of the participants over the splendid landscape as well as the organization was remarkable, which will certainly be a significant challenge for the next Presidency.
